Space Inventor ApS – ADCS-R3

The Space Inventor ADCS-R3 is an attitude determination and control sub-system designed for 2-6kg satellites. It operates with external attitude sensors, such as sun/star trackers and others connected via CAN.

The ADCS-R3 sub-system uses the momentum wheels to provide precise, stable, durable 3-axis attitude control.

The four integrated reaction wheels are arranged in a tetrahedron configuration, enabling full system control without having to reverse the spin direction. In the event of a single wheel failure, the three additional wheels can be reconfigured for exercising full control with only slightly degraded performance.

The magnetorquer rods are wound on ultra-high permeability material in order to provide high efficiency.
